Andean Roads is a family-run Argentine company with more than 20 years on the road. You book directly with us: there is no agency or broker in between, so the people answering your messages are the same ones who hand you the keys.
We also help you plan the route — where to stop, how far to drive each day and which detours are worth it in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.
What travellers ask us first
- No security deposit required. We only take down your credit card details. No money is blocked or held on your card.
- Drive with a standard licence. Your regular car licence is enough in Argentina. No special or motorhome permit is needed.
- Cross into Chile and Uruguay. USD 150 per country covers the customs paperwork and the insurance extension, and you can cross back and forth as many times as you like.

Minimum rental of 3 days (7 days in December and January). All prices are in US dollars.
Rates are per vehicle, not per person.
What the price includes
- Mileage: 300 km per day on average. Unlimited from 30 days of rental. Extra kilometres at USD 0.50 each
- Bedding: 2 sets of sheets per bed, feather duvet, blanket and 2 pillows
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Bathroom kit: 2 sets of towels per passenger
- Separate bathroom with shower and hot water
- Diesel heater and air conditioning
- Solar panels and dual battery system
- Camping table and chairs
- Fuel, gas and fresh water tanks filled at pick-up
- Assisted handover with a full walkthrough of the vehicle

- You can leave your car at our base for the length of the rental
What the price does not include
Fuel, tolls, campsites, final cleaning and optional extras.
Optional extras
- Starlink Mini, mobile satellite internet: USD 5 to 10 per day depending on the length of the rental
- Genki power bank (12V and 220V): USD 5 per day
- Crossing into Chile or Uruguay: USD 150 per country, covering the customs paperwork and the insurance extension. You can cross in and out as many times as you like
Conditions
- Minimum rental of 3 days (7 days in December and January)
- Minimum driver age: 25
- A standard B1 car licence is enough. No special or motorhome permit is needed
- No security deposit: we only register your credit card details
- 20% of the total to confirm the booking, in cash or by bank transfer
- Balance due at pick-up, in US dollars or Argentine pesos
Pick-up and drop-off
Our base is in General Pacheco, Buenos Aires Province.
Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm. Other times can be arranged.
Start your trip in Patagonia instead of Buenos Aires
Many of our guests fly straight to Bariloche or El Calafate, pick the motorhome up there and drive north, finishing at our base near Buenos Aires. It also works the other way around.
If you have two or three weeks in Argentina, this saves you the four days it takes to drive south and lets you spend them exploring instead.
There is an extra charge depending on the distance. Send us your dates and where you land, and we will put a quote together.
