Hello Cristian and Sebastian, We had a great experience choosing for Andean Roads. They give a very good service by picking you up at the airport and aswell drop off. Also they give a good service by answering our questions before and during our trip. We have driven around the north of Argentinia and we enjoyed it very much! While you're driving you kept seeing changing the landscape and that's impressive. We liked especially visiting Buenos Aires, the wine fields around Maipu, Barreal, PP Ischigualasto, PN Talampaya, Cafayate, Cachi, Salta, Purmamarca, PN Iguazu and RN del Ibera, so there's a lot to see!

We spent 4 weeks travelling round Argentina in a large unit from Andean Roads, a brilliant holiday. The service from Andean Roads was great, we were picked up early on Sunday morning from our hotel and we had left their depot by 12:00. Driving was easy, Argentine drivers are nowhere near as bad as advertised, and everywhere we went people were friendly, often surprised we had travelled from so far away. Most roads are paved and the gravel roads we found were similar to gravel roads we have driven in Europe. In the four weeks we covered more than 8000km, including crossing to Chile and while the border controls took a couple of hours each way it was all very friendly. The van was easy to drive, had everything we needed and when we couldn't find a garage to exchange the gas cylinder a phone call back to Andean Roads got us the information. We went in August and September, quite a few tourist services were closed, including every camp site we looked for, but there was no difficulty finding a garage where we could spend the night and fill the water tank. We also stopped at some wonderful spots away from everything, although one night the noise from whales breathing just off the beach was perhaps the strangest noise I have gone to sleep to. OK, it was quite an expensive holiday but worth every penny and being able to hire the van let us see wonderful places we could never have seen otherwise

Dear Cristian & Sebastian! It took some time, but finally I come back to you with our feedback & pictures. First of all, everything regarding the booking and the payment worked out perfectly. You always reacted in a fast and clear way. The positive feeling I had about your company, when I found your homepage and after your quick answer on my inquiry, was proven true through all our journey and after. A very great, helpful & priceless offer was your free pickup & drop-off service. This really helped us a lot, was very comfortable and its timing was perfect. Thank you!

Hi Cris and Sebastian, A huge country, large distances, a wonderful experience. We loved our journey, and we loved the small but cosy Renault Kangoo that we had for 5 weeks. We found Cris and Sebastian cooperative and helpful. And we found the car to be in perfect shape. The ‘bed’ was good and we slept comfortably through the night. So we were satisfied with our choice, and we can certainly recommend your organisation! We went all the way from Buenos Aires to the Andes, San Martin, Bariloche, part of the carretera austral in Chile, to El Calafate (the Perito Moreno glaciar is no doubt he most impressive natural wonder that we have seen), Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, and from there to the coast to return to BA. A marvellous recorrido that left us a good impression of Patagonia. We were here for the last 3 weeks of march and the first 2 of april. It’s a good time to travel, but one should reckon that it’s end of season. As an advantage, popular places are less crowded. However, end of season means that campgrounds, hotels, and restaurants may be closed. Some tips for those who will follow in our tracks. Driving from BA to the Andes is not the most exciting part of the trip, but the Parque Provincial Ernesto Tornquist is a welcome break. There are some fine hotels, but we can recommend the camping at Villa Ventana. Driving from the Chilean border at Chile Chico to El Chalten, Bajo Caracoles makes good stop, and the hotel is much better than expected (ask for a room with a private bathroom), there is a good beer, and a restaurant. El Calafate is a good stop because of all the tourist facilities. However, the camping libre at Lago Rocca is a wonderful place to camp (and is next to a challenging but rewarding hike, Cerro de los Crystales). And finally, hotels in the Torres del Paine national park are rather expensive and (to our experience) substandard in quality. We stayed at the Hosteria Pehoe, but regretted not to stay at the nearby campground which looks very attractive. If we decide to ‘do’ the northern part, we certainly choose Andean Roads again! All the best Gerard and Tineke

Andean Roads is a wonderful, family-run business. Sebastian picked up six of us and all of our luggage from the heart of Buenos Aires, and took us to the beautiful forested depot where we picked up our two immaculate RVs. Cris had been in touch with us for many months prior, helping with an itinerary and useful tips. We had an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime trip and we were very comfortable and at home in our Mercedes Benz RVs. Thank you, Sebastian and Cris!

Ben & Ety from Zichron Yaacov - Israel

My girlfriend and I went for a 3-month trip to Argentina and Chile. We rented Renault Kangoo mini caravan from Andean Roads for a total of 70 days and almost 13,000 km ! Rental dialog long before the trip was made with the owner of the rental company, Cris Torlasco, who helped us a lot on planning the trip and gave as a lot of tips. The rental car was very reliable; we received it almost new (3000 km) and the inter arrangements as mini caravan were very effective. After returning back to Israel we can say that the warm treatment that we received from Cris was fantastic and he made us feel like home. Needless to say, we recommend using this company when renting a camper in Argentina. So thanks again to Cris and i can promise that if i'll come again to this area we will use again Andean Roads' services. So let's say - hasta la vista (baby)!

Hola Cristian and Sebastian! Thank you! Our 30 day rental (6000 km in the Renault Kangoo) worked out perfectly, every minute of it. We went to the far northwest of the country, to the puna and returned on ruta 40 via Mendoza and the Cordoba hills. Two out of three nights we slept in the car, often in the wild. Our supplies were obtained from local despensas or markets. Day after day we enjoyed encounters and conversations with local people in pueblos as we sat in the plazas or in comedores, met schoolchildren and teachers, or asked for help in a village hospital after a minor injury. We are glad to have chosen Andean Roads - a family business started by an experienced overlander, long enough on the market to set itself apart in a healthy, down to earth way. For us, this was a major issue, given the long and tedious internet search for a good firm to hire from. At 75 and 70, respectively, after having travelled in campervans on three continents for the last decades, we knew what we were looking for. Yes, we confirm what you can read on Andean Roads' webpage: "In other words, Andean Roads is not just about renting a motorhome; it is about being a link between the visitor and the local culture and geography; thus optimizing his/her time in Argentina." From the first minute, Cristian understood our style of travelling and our intentions. He was a tremendous, untiring help with planning: choice of vehicle, places, sidetrips, driving precautions, road conditions, dealing with altitude, money matters, sources of information, ways of returning something to the people we would meet, etc, etc. This investment in planning, based on our own previous research, worked out extremely well and established a fine relationship long before we met in person. The Kangoo and its layout is well suited for minimalistic travellers on a tight budget, intent on not living in a motorhome, but meeting locals. Don't expect sparkling brand new cars with bells and whistles. No luxury. This is not Europe or the US. What you can expect and what you get is a car that is clean, well maintained mechanically and well suited for the road conditions, including the inevitable dusty ripio roads. After arrival, we were jetlagged and tired. Cristian and Sebastian patiently explained the car, the contract details, answered our questions. Never did we feel rushed. They also informed us of the road types: paved, ripio or tierra and the driving conditions, after rainfalls in particular, and the areas where fuel stations are rare. During the trip, we were able to keep in touch with Cristian and Sebastian on the cellphone that came with the car. This proved very valuable. At the end of our trip, Cristian and Sebastian were keen to hear from us about our experiences, they took time to listen to our feedback on the voyage, the car and the service. Next time? Hopefully, yes. Andean Roads? By all means! We will miss you.
